Edwardian bow fronted display cabinet


An Edwardian mahogany bow fronted display cabinet. Above the shaped cornice is a turned urn flanked by carved foliage. Beneath are a pair of glazed doors set with individual glass panels. Inside are two shaped shelves and a shelf to the base. Below is a tambour fronted cupboard with brass knob handle. It stands on three tapering and moulded legs, united by a shaped base shelf.

Victorian 2 tiered whatnot

A Victorian rosewood two-tiered whatnot. The top shelf has a brass gallery going around  three edges. The bottom shelf is supported on finely turned legs, which terminate in brass cup casters with white porcelain wheels. There are turned spindles between the two shelves to the back and side.

Victorian whatnot Canterbury in figured walnut.   The small top shelf has a gallery and is raised on turned columns from the larger full size shelf below.   The shelves are inlaid with boxwood and tulip wood lines.   Beneath are two dividers with turned supports to form the Canterbury section.   In the base is a full size drawer which is mahogany lined.   It stands on turned legs that terminate in brass cup casters with white porcelain wheels.   C1880.   45.75 inches high by 23.75 inches wide by 15.75 inches deep.   £800.00

An Edwardian mahogany and ivorine strung elbow chair. The swept back legs are united by a shaped top rail. Below the top rail is a spindle back. A Victorian serpentine shaped stool of large proportions.   The upholstered top lifts off to reveal a shallow well with marbled paper.   The stool has a shaped and carved frame which is supported by four cabriole legs that are carved at the knee with C-scroll and acanthus.   The legs terminate in scroll feet inset with castrs.   C1860.   £1195.00.

A Regency mahogany cased eight day Fusee wall clock by John Ball, London.  The 12 inch painted dial has roman numerals. This sits behind a brass bezel, which is surrounded by a mahogany moulding. The case is fitted with two doors, for pendulum adjustment.

Mahogany mantel clock with French movement

A mahogany mantle clock with a French movement. It strikes on the hour and half hours. The case has a shaped top and the front has a carved panel with a flowing leaf and flower design. A Victorian walnut credenza. The breakfront top with curved ends and an ebonized moulding. Below, the frieze is inlaid with boxwood lines and has cast brass mouldings. The doors are edged with an ebony, boxwood and amboyna banding. The two curved doors are glazed with internal mirrored backs. The central door has a marquetry panel. This is flanked by two fluted columns with brass capitals. It stands on a shaped plinth base, raised on ebonized turned feet.

A Regency mahogany cheval mirror. The square uprights with moulded edges, are joined by two cross rails. The lower one being nicely turned. It is standing on sabre legs with brass box casters. The original mirror plate is set in a cross grained and  moulded frame.  The mirror is held in place by two embossed brass knobs which can be tightened or loosened to adjust the angle of the mirror glass.   An Edwardian mahogany roll top desk. The tambour top rolls back to reveal a large working area, which can easily take a laptop computer. There are 6 pigeon holes to the left  hand side and a small drawer to the right. This is supported by 2 pedestals, which have a set of graduated drawers. The bottom right hand drawer is double depth so that it can take hanging files. The drawers are fitted with brass swan-neck handles. The doors are cross banded and are veneered with a well figured mahogany. The panels have a rosewood split turned moulding around the edges. A Victorian inlaid walnut work and games table. The burr walnut top which is inlaid with decorative box wood lines. It has a fold over top which opens to reveal chess, backgammon and cribbage boards. The frieze drawer is lined in sycamore with compartments. Below this is a work box, which pulls forward. It is supported on turned and carved columns which are united in a turned stretcher rail and it is all raised on carved cabriole legs fitted with brass castors.
